Maddie and Chris met in high school. She was in the color guard, he played euphonium in the marching band. It's already the start of a cute story. However in high school they were only ever acquaintances. They knew who the other was and smiled in the hallway, but that was all. But soon they graduated, left the city and headed off to college and it was there that their paths crossed once again, but this time having a much different result. :-)
After three years of dating, Chris took Maddie to a sushi dinner and back to their place for a little surprise. He had set up their yard with tiki torches and tropical flowers marking a path up to a table. On it was a ukulele that Maddie had gifted to Chris on their second dating anniversary. He started to play it for her, and sang the song "I Lava You." (From the Disney Pixar short, which you can watch and cry over here) Chris finished the song, popped the question and she said yes! I don't know about you, but we think a Disney proposal is always a good idea.
They were married this December in Albuquerque surrounded by their friends, family, and of course tons of dancing. We could never forget Maddie and her father's Daddy-Daughter dance, or how it seemed like all of the guests were on the dance floor all night. But most of all, it was one of the best ways for us to end our year. Congrats Maddie + Chris your wedding was as magical as the time of year it took place.
