Alicia + Jesse | Whimsical Spring Wedding at Hotel Andaluz

Five photos taken by New Mexico wedding photographer. First photo is a bride and groom in Albuquerque, New Mexico between two white pillars. Second photo is a flat lay wedding detail shot of bride's white shoes with tulle bows on pink background surrounded by peonies. Third photo is a close up photo of a bride and groom with the bride holding a cascading bouquet of purple and white flowers. The fourth photo is a flat lay of rose gold wedding rings on a pink background. The fifth photo is a close up of the bride's bouquet of white and purple peonies and lilacs.

Alicia and Jesse both met while in college in a public speaking class. Alicia was really impressed with a presentation Jesse gave and after class they chatted and Jesse asked her to study with him. At the time, Jesse was interested in pursuing medicine and Alicia was passionate about dentistry. They connected over the sciences and Alicia eventually convinced him to join the UNM Pre-Dental Society. (They are both now dentists, which we think is the cutest thing!)

After dating for a while, Jesse and Alicia took a trip to Vancouver where they visited a beautiful botanical garden. There, Jesse got down on one knee and used his apple watch as a timer to take photos on his i-phone as he proposed. Did we also mention it was Alicia's birthday?

A day they would never forget!

For their beautiful wedding, we couldn't get over how gorgeous the details were. The theme was spring and garden-themed, inspired by Jesse's grandmother who loved to garden. Jesse's favorite flower is peonies, and Elite Flowers made sure they were incorporated into all the beautiful arrangements and bouquets. Soft pastels from lilacs and delphinium also graced Alicia's bouquet, which perfectly matched the bridesmaid dresses. But nothing could hold a candle to Alicia's drop-dead gorgeous Justin Alexander gown. The shoulders had sweet little tulle bows that matched her Bella Belle shoes perfectly!

Alicia did a quick outfit change into a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai dress with a matching headpiece at the reception. It was the prettiest shade of pink, tying into the garden theme with delicate lace and beaded floral designs.

A huge congratulations to the newlyweds! It was such an honor to capture your gorgeous day!
