Behind the Scenes... and the Cameras | 2019

Every day, you see us posting one of our gorgeous couples. But what you don't see is what it took to achieve your favorite images! Was the wind blowing at just the perfect time, speed, and direction to get the flawless veil shot? Nope! It was Sarah throwing it in the air and trying to dash out the photo ASAP. Did Maura get the exposure precisely right the first time she pointed her camera at a bridesmaid coming down the aisle? Maybe she guessed it correctly, but the first shot was actually Hannah posed in the middle of the seats like a flamenco dancer to make sure the settings were spot on. That dancing shot at the reception was simply captured off the cuff, right? Wrong! Maura was balancing on a chair. So much goes into every picture we take, and we can't wait to share it with you!

Without further ado, here are the images of the girls behind the cameras, all the fun we have, and the care we put into our clients:

To start, some of the best shots of us are while we're trying to show off the bride's veil and/or flowing trains... while simultaneously running away.

Sometimes we look cute.

But more often than not, we look like cringe-worthy T-Rex's tripping their way out the frame.

Another hilarious part of our job is testing the light. Sometimes we aren't feeling all that creative...

But we tend to get pretty inspired.

And then sometimes, guests aren't all that impressed with our antics.

Beyond the veil/dress toss and testing the light, there's even more that goes into achieving the perfect shot. We are not only photographers, we're dress fluffers, hair adjusters, and boutonniere extraordinaires.

But we don't stop there! We hang dresses, style invitation suites and bouquets, assist with shoes, and toss dresses over picturesque bridges (only to have to duck down .5 seconds later to dodge being in the shot).

We hold veils when the bride wants a picture without it.

As a matter of fact, we hold everything. (Hannah is currently working on finding a surgeon who can give her more arms)

We help brides carry their trains, we turn ourselves into trees to block the light, and we multitask like bosses.

(Below, Hannah is blocking for Sarah while also getting a behind the scenes video of a first look!)

Unsure of how to cut the cake? No problem: we're pros.

And, of course, it doesn't matter what it takes, be it jumping on a table or balancing on a moving train... we are getting The Shot!

But most importantly, we enjoy every single moment.

Maura's face at seeing Tiffany's bouquet for the first time is exactly how we feel about being so blessed in 2019. Thank you to all of the amazing couples and vendors for another phenomenal year!
