Megan and Dillon were engaged at their home during a family BBQ. They knew right away that they wanted to have their wedding at Dillon's family home. There was never a question about it or a second option. And of course, Dillons mother couldn't have been happier they asked!
Megan got to work planning her dream DIY wedding. Incorporating her favorite colors schemes, wedding themes, and flowers, she put together a stunning rustic sunshine backyard affair. Making the planter centerpieces and invitations herself, it was apparent that she poured her heart into their wedding.
Megan had wanted a winter wedding, but the timing wasn't going to work for them. But the cottonwoods came out for her and their day was greeted by cotton falling like winter in June.
Their sweet dog Amara was included in the wedding and was walked down the aisle with the best man and the maid of honor, and their wedding cake toppers were hedgehogs, in honor of the little guys they had to leave at home. Their wedding was truly one of the most relaxed weddings ever, with only close family and friends, and a very laid back schedule. Come, watch us say I do, and stay a while! And although there was no DJ or lights, everyone enjoyed themselves and the celebration they were a part of.
