Nothing gets us more motivated than the start of a new year. There is an excitement in the air, as the promise of new beginnings is on everyones mind. We couldn't think of a better way to start the year, a better "new beginning," than by becoming husband and wife. High school sweethearts Erika and Ed were our first wedding of 2018. While everyone else was choosing resolutions like: Lose weight, eat less salt, get a better wardrobe, Erika and Ed chose each other.
Their ceremony took place at St. Jude Thaddeus church in Albuquerque. The weather was incredibly warm for a day in January putting everyone if a fantastic mood. Erika and her bridesmaids looked stunning in their deep violet gowns with fur stoles to match. They held calle lilies in their hands, that complimented their gowns and matched the groomsmen's ties perfectly. The ceremony was conducted by the sweetest priest, who put joy in my photographer heart by telling me I had full reign to shoot wherever during the ceremony, ( I still of course tried to be quiet as a church mouse.)
The reception was full of laughter and good times as guest enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Sandia Mountains and colorful New Mexico sunset as they danced into the wee hours of the night.
Congrats again Erika + Ed, we wish you nothing but the best!
